Building Services Consultant – Mechanical and Electrical Services Design
Residential properties include all types of general accomodation.
This is a large residential house heated by underfloor heating. The underfloor heating is fed by air to water heat pumps and gas fired boiler in a hybrid heating system. In addition, there are a number of air-to-air heat pumps using a VRF system. The house uses two MVHR systems and water softener. All of the systems in the house are controlled by mobile phone apps, including the motorised blinds and lighting. The project is due for completion in 2023.
Overstone Hall was a Victoria stately home that was mostly destroyed by 
fire in 2001. The building is to be rebuilt and divided into many separate residential units but retaining the appearance and character of the original building.. I provided a performance specification and outline drawings covering all of the mechanical and electrical services in the building. The project is likely to start on site in 2019.
This project converts a large seven storey office block to residential flats. The project is located near to the centre of Leicester. The flats use a communal boiler room with efficient commercial boilers which feed 
individual Heat Distribution Units in each flat. This system will enable each flat to be fed by the local district heating system if it is connected in the future. The system also avoids the need for individual boilers in each flat. The project should be complete by 2019.
The Warwick Avenue project is a new housing development in central Bedford built on the old university site. The development is in three phases and includes around 130 new flats and houses. 
The houses are styled to tie in with the Victorian properties in the area. We designed all of the Mechanical and Electrical Services for all of the properties on the site.
A large listed manor house was badly damaged by fire. The building was renovated and repaired with air-conditioning and digitally controlled intelligent lighting and services to make it completely modern. In addition to the main building the old stable block and creamery were also modernised. We designed all of the mechanical and electrical services in these buildings. The project was recently completed.
A very large house with complex and environmentally friendly services. The home has a large indoor swimming pool, 
tennis courts, and stables. The services include complex lighting, and power systems, security and communications, underfloor heating, twin boilers, water booster, air-conditioning, grey water collection, and sewage systems. The property has been finished and decorated to extremely high standards.
A new development of three 
luxury houses in Harpole. The properties are built to an exceptionally high standard. Each house has gas fired heating with underfloor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs.
The Kingsway is a new building near the centre of Bedford. It comprises 27 flats in a five storey block, and 6 flats in a three storey block. We designed the main incoming service routes, electrical services in common areas, outside lighting, fire alarm and door entry systems.
